It offers access to numerous other protected lakes. This stunning wilderness region of Québec is home to an abundance of walleye, lake trout, and northern pike as well as opportunities for bear and moose hunting.

Fishing at Bush Country Camp is an experience you won’t want to miss. The walleye population in the lake is thriving, with fish over 24 inches being caught and released every week. For northern pike enthusiasts, the lake features numerous secluded bays where trophy-sized fish await. We also have a nearby lake, accessible via a short porta

For northern pike enthusiasts, the lake features numerous secluded bays where trophy-sized fish await. We also have a nearby lake, accessible via a short portage, where fishing is almost exclusively dedicated to pike. Lake trout fishing remains steady throughout the year.

Boats

At Bush Country Camp, we provide boats with a 15-horsepower motor and the first tank of gas included with your stay.

All boats are equipped with seats, life jackets and safety kits. Fish finders are available for rent if needed. We also offer charging for electric trolling motors.

Cabins and inclusions

All 9 of Bush Country Camp cabins are fully equipped with cooking pots, plates, utensils, etc. All have propane stoves and fridges with wood stoves for heating. Most have screened in porches to unwind in after a day of fishing or to hang wet clothes in. All cabins are equipped with cold running water and electricity. Our cabins have single beds or single bunks only and can sleep from 4 to 16 people. Most cabins have their own dock and all are situated with a good view of Lake Sasseginaga. We have freezers available to store your catch and ice is available.

During your stay, you will need to bring:

Directions

Since our camp is located on an island, it is important to schedule your arrival time in advance, as we will transport you to your destination by boat.
